Casting Call for this Saturday for the short film Lost and Found in L.A. for all female dancers/actresses.
CASTING FEMALE LEAD
Feature film: “Lost & Found in L.A.” (working title)
SOOoo.. I dance film project I’ve been working on is auditioning for a female lead tomorrow.. any LA female dancers out there want to audition to be in this 5 min short?… here’s the info::: (send your info right away at the email below if you are)
We are looking to cast a female lead character to offset the male lead.
The female lead should be a strong expressive actress/dancer with experience in ballet, modern, & jazz (there may be several types of choreographers to work with, so a variety of dance styles is good to have). Improvisational and Contact Dance skills are also a plus. Must be able to showcase a strong awareness in both body and facial features that are emotionally connected and honest in it’s approach. Though this is not a film with dialogue and is a dance film, acting ability is a strong part of this film, and is key to the role. An ability to be quirky and a sense of innocence (as she is new to LA) are important. She can be naive at moments but can also have her own strength and self confidence/defiance.
Mid twenties to mid thirties age range.
The male character (played by Roger Fojas) is a quirky bohemian artist type, who wakes up disheveled on the beach in Venice with a damaged cell phone realizing he is supposed to pick up with his love interest, the female lead (which we are looking to cast), who is coming to visit him, from Union Station in half an hour. Both without cars and access to modern day communication with each other, struggle throughout the day to ‘find’ one another via the landscapes we know as Los Angeles, stumbling through a myriad of obstacles along the way. But in this world everything is seen through the experience of dance.
Please submit Headshot and Resume and/or Reel for consideration. Auditions Shoot dates will be mid August.
We look forward to meeting you and seeing you dance!
Audition to be Held SAT July 27th in North Hollywood
